Makes sense & it's believable. If anyone would find debris, it'd be fishermen. It would've been helpful if they had photographed it or hauled it back to shore for identification. And maybe some did, but the evidence "disappeared" as well. It was thought by many then that the plane was hijacked (by the pilot?) & shot down by military jets, fearing another Sept 11 type attack. A horribly sad & distasteful action no govt would ever want to address. Hence the cover-up theories.
