I've noticed empty shelf spaces almost every grocery trip the past 6 months or so. Luckily, most of the time, it's not stuff I eat. There's definitely some lag in re-stocking but it appears to be mostly shelf convenience foods. Perishables seem OK, so far, but they have to move & sell fairly quickly otherwise they're dumped. Last year finding eggs was a problem for awhile, though. Luckily you can break & freeze eggs for future use. But getting a few chickens if you can might be a good idea too. Eggs are nutrition powerhouses.

Stock up on Vitamin D caps. Aspirin tablets too. Just in case you can't get outside in very cold rainy winter weather. (I take half an aspirin tablet every other day, to help deter possible virus-caused blood clots. A baby aspirin might be better for you. Or none at all. You have to decide for yourself.) I think this discussion is sad & sickening, but planning ahead for more govt abuse is necessary. (Maybe add bandages & suture thread to your list, too. Sarcasm, but... people are very very tired now of the BS. 😑)

@nicke1903 WallyMart should know - they're part of the problem. (Snide remarks aside, yes, use your powers of observation to protect yourself. People will tell you one thing while your instincts say another. Much of it stems from political theater, much not, but trust your instincts anyway. Can save your life.)

@dontettaton1063 Ironically Dylan said it best - "When you have nothing, you have nothing to lose." US govt would be very dumb to push people to the breaking point now. We already see how hair-triggered riotous dumb people are. Start adding smarter fed-up people to the mix, those who feel they have nothing left to lose, & this country will explode - Viet Nam era style. In some ways I think this is exactly what Democrats want. It detracts & distracts from their other criminal doings. Makes me wonder what horrible things they've done to create such an awful scenario, one worse than their covid ter**r tactics. But guessing Chai nah is deeply heavily involved.

(Freeze your dry food staples for 3 days, this will prolong shelf life tremendously. Esp in warmer climates. Make sure the bags are tightly sealed before & after freezing. Double bag the stuff to keep it airtight if you're unsure.)
