The US Democrap govt helps everyone overseas be well-armed & able to protect themselves - but not us citizens here in the US. The irony is stomach-turning.

@getthepoooffmybum My Bible "history" sucks, but didn't Moses come down from Mt. Sinai with the tablets well before Muslims lived in the Sinai desert? The wandering story, 40 years, etc. (Which doesn't mean the Jews automatically owned the land they occupied, technically. But if the Sinai desert wasn't claimed by others at the time, it's business as usual re people settling & establishing living zones. Migrations have been happening for thousands of years, far & wide.)

Maybe this one should be allowed to carry out to the end, sadly. IDK. Many abhor the idea of it, but how else can the fighting end? It can't, really. Because even if Israel eradicates Gaza, survivors will eventually return with like-minded allies to terrorize Israel in retribution. It's pretty much how it's been for decades. Despite the horrors, too many zealots in the region thrive on fighting & war. It's their reason for getting up in the morning.

@CigEconomy "Israel", as we know it today, was established after WW2 as a permanent homeland for Jewish Holocaust survivors & their descendants. So, technically you're right. (I'm sure you know this but others may not.)

Have little confidence that US govt is on the ball, protecting us. So we need to pay attention & not let this horrible situation be an all-consuming distraction from potential dangerous power plays targeting the US. The smirk on Putin's face this week spoke volumes. The US may be running head-first into a multinational planned trap. Martyrs or not - why would Hamas so brazenly throw themselves & Gaza under the bus this way? Fully knowing what Israel's reaction would be? Something else may be up, even bigger.
