  3. Recently contacted the SSA re my future retirement disbursements & it was extremely difficult to get a direct answer. So I bluntly asked the rep if someone else was using my SS# to collect money & she laughed, "Nooo..." Okay... After answering many security questions, which is fine, she told me what I needed to know. However, getting a postal mailed confirmation has been impossible, forcing me to go on-line to print it. But chronic invalid password, invalid email address & account reset problems has made on-line access impossible. Also had to make a 2nd request call for a postal letter re password reset info & the rep said they never mailed it - no explanation why. I eventually received a new password in the mail but it too was rejected on line. Very frustrating situation. Esp for people trying to manage their future financial planning. (The SSA was supposedly mailing people updated retirement statements every 10 years but I haven't seen one in 20 years. I think the only solution for updated SS info is to visit your local SS office. And bring lots of ID documents with you.)
