  2. It would be nice if people could earn this much but it's true that most employers, big & small, would need to cut jobs to cover it. This significantly increases the workload on the remaining employees to make up the labor "production losses." Thus actually lowering the value of their hourly labor. Eg $15 hr labor value might easily drop to $10 hr, due to the added extra workload. And if a business is forced to cut their workforce even more drastically to survive, eg 50% - $15 hr now becomes $7.50 hr in labor value. Well under minimum wage. (All while overworked & exhausted employee's spouses or family members sit home unemployed, depressed &/or getting into trouble. We've been here before - 2008.)
