I was a public defender in Pennsylvania 30 years ago. A young woman was found dead one morning. Her mentally challenged girlfriend confessed to police to killing the victim. An hour later, the victim’s boyfriend (my client) called 911 to confess to killing his girlfriend. Police then disregarded the false confession of the girlfriend. My client is doing life without parole.

@takerdust , I no longer remember her name. The name of the convicted man is Anthony Heisey. I did not focus his defense on that woman. I unsuccessfully argued for a reduction to voluntary manslaughter.
