  1. Um, they put a wreath on the heads of Bill Rodgers and Ruiz and draped a medal around her neck. They also appeared together on a local TV talk show the next day. I’d say she got close to stealing the race. Most importantly, she stole the glory from the Canadian real winner, who drove back to Canada with second place prizes.
