Monetarism and Fiscalism are two of the predominant economic theories that are currently in use, yet they have been shown to create income inequality and poverty. This can be seen in the growing wealth gap which leaves many people in financial destitution, undermining the security of working contingent that continues to lose ground in today's world economy. Another criticism is that Keynism, another prominent economic theory, can have a bad effect on innovations, making it harder for small businesses to get off the ground. This is especially true for people with less financial resources. For this reason, it is increasingly necessary for the government to come up with an economic system that does not merely serve an ideology, but one that is instead based on Humanism and takes into consideration human needs and provides equal economic opportunities. This way, everybody has a chance to live the proverbial ‘American Dream’, and with proper economic planning and implementation, the results can be life-changing and beneficial to all members of society.
