  1. My friend attended a southern swedish college that was prejudiced. The preschool program was run by a woman who was authoritarian and aggressive towards her. My friend found it difficult to express her concerns to the college administration as they seemed indifferent toward the issue, which made her feel unsupported and helpless. This woman was always keeping an eye on my friend. She hated them and didn't want them to graduate from college because she believed that students from disadvantaged backgrounds and people of color lacked the same level of intelligence as white people. She treated people according to her bigotry and prejudice, which made it difficult for her to relate to those who were different from her. She attempted to ruin my friend's future by making her take a difficult test on the teaching profession and threatening to expel her from college if she failed. My friend, however, made the decision to take a break and apply to college again at a different school. During my friend's internship, this woman set her up with a bad and prejudice manager, refused to hear my friend's complaints, and took the managers side because she was close with the manager. To see young minds wasted because of prejudice hurts my heart. People who don't want students to succeed do exist in universities, and they fabricate lies and ruin their future because they don't fit their ideal of what a good student should be like. This treatment of students is inhumane and goes against the fundamental goal of education, which is to support personal development and potential realization. Universities must address this problem and foster an environment that is welcoming to all students.
