Racism and favoritism in college are ongoing issues that must be addressed. Many colleges, for example, have entrance exams that students must pass in order to be accepted. Unfortunately, some students are unfairly failed during their internships by prejudiced supervisors. Another issue is difficult courses and professors who fail without providing feedback. Many program administrators believe that higher education should only be available to white and middle-class students, so they pass laws that make it difficult for some students to obtain an education. Students are afraid to speak up for fear of retaliation. Furthermore, some colleges have indifferent administrations that are unsupportive of students. As a result, racism in college is a systemic issue that must be addressed in order to achieve equity.
