As a Clinical Psychologist I can explain the Crazy Laugh - It's a common reaction in people with particularly low IQs - their brain essentially "freezes" and goes into laugh mode in times of stress or discomfort - like not having the answer to a simple question - it's like the brains equivalent to "Buffering" while it reloads - and it hopes that the next question will be easier....!
