@georgesturdy7040 There is no mains Gas in this part of the world - it would most likely be a leak from a gas bottle fitting or appliance - my neighbour was killed in a similar accident some years ago - he came home and switched the light on and the whole house exploded....!

@georgesturdy7040 A gas bottle holds a considerable amount of gas 24kg if I remember correctly - if it escapes and fills an enclosed space then it would cause quite an explosion - as I mentioned in earlier posts my neighbour was killed by a gas explosion in his home and it was bottled gas - the house was still standing but damaged so badly it had to be rebuilt....! - we have no mains gas in Donegal....!
