I am frequently annoyed with the ‘high status warrior woman’ diagnosis! In this case, the lady might just have been a small but well-set individual, her muscles the result of regular work. Possibly she had a few accidents, too, along the way, or got into a few physical arguments or suffered abuse… who knows? Then, the very problematic abscess and associated facial damage was never considered as the cause of death, just mentioned briefly along with a hint at sepsis.
