  1. I was a teenager when a dear friend was kidnapped and unalived by her estranged oldest brother who then fled the country and was never found. The family had come to the UK from Saudi after accepting the word of Christ. Her parents were heartbroken. Through contacts, her father found out that his son had been involved with a Pakistani drug supply chain, and his daughter had been promised in lieu of a debt. That was 1977. You can’t imagine how the term “honour killing” still infuriates me.
