  4. I think you’re referring to post-humanism? Basically, our scaly overlords are hoping to become immortal by placing their brains in cyborg bodies (in the manner of Ghost in the Shell) or otherwise uploading their consciousness. Huge philosophical issues there before we even get to the technology. Think Skeksis, standing on a dying world, shouting: We will live forever!

  5. Hm, Aeon/Thelema? The cult, created by Aleister Crowley in 1904, has members worldwide. Thelema worships the fundamental Earth Mother… It professes the opposite of capitalism, looking for Marxist perfection, and has the tenet “Do what thou will shall be the whole of the Law” (which means personal freedom without shame, but is open to more… unpleasant interpretation). There’s a lot to unpack, and I can’t give a lecture here. Look up both Aeon and Thelema, also Aleister Crowley and, if you’re keen, the involvement of Ron L. Hubbard.
