  1. I’m not sorry for being British, for being mostly English and part Welsh. I couldn’t pick a country off a map nor designate my parents in advance; I couldn’t select which skin colour might suit me best nor decide my first encounter with a religious practice. I will not be blamed for things out of my control nor let some control freak with an agenda tell me I don’t fit their Procrustean Bed.

  2. I learned elsewhere that a law banning the ownership of machetes came into effect recently. Same law banned zombie knives, which seems a bit silly as the walking dead don’t generally stab someone before eating them. Anyway, said law may be invoked by stating Section 60, stop and search protocols. I believe that, so far, no one waving a machete (or a zombie with a knife) has been arrested.

  4. Please don’t home-educate your children unless you’re capable of delivering at least six GCSE subjects, then making private exam arrangements. Home-schooled young people stand a high risk of becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) unless you run a family firm keen on nepotism.
