@jennyknight9875 no, overseas students cannot stay after their visa expires. Many leave the UK during the grace period. Some, however, promptly try to get into other education opportunities so they can renew their visa. Others, of course, disappear or, in exceptional circumstances, claim asylum. And they do not outnumber British students.

My suspect my local Council will be slavering at the chance to put Council Tax up to the limit, because we are a very multicultural area, and there’s high and rapidly rising unemployment. They’re extremely Red, of course; the sheep baa for fleecing every election, although I understand there won’t be one here in 2025.
