  1. I’m right behind the idea of ‘act your wage’. It’s basically working within your contract and pay band. So many companies started cutting staff and depressing wages with the expectation that those who remained would pick up extra work and responsibilities, often without training. Lean processes were misused and abused for justification, but the boardroom forgot that you can only lean so far before you fall over… This initiative is a call to staff to work within the terms of their contract and wage. It’s not telling staff they shouldn’t go that extra mile only that they shouldn’t be forced to do it and for free. In the UK, we’d call it working to rule.
