  1. Early puberty at age 10 - I remember being totally pissed off. There was lady’s physical pain every damn month from then on. Doctors eventually told me it was caused by the Betanovate prescribed for eczema as a child, because they didn’t know back in the day that a steroid cream of that low strength would cause so many problems. I was a total tomboy before puberty anyway, and I’ve never changed, but I’m all woman. Later developments in hormone therapy meant I was able to naturally conceive twice, so those were gender-affirming. Now, every time I see people cheering about puberty blockers and cross-gender hormones, I think: f*ing idiots.

  2. Late addition to this thread: Why, yes! I did meet a transsexual back in the early 1990s. She was beautiful and very feminine. One of her girl friends came into our office and told us that she’d committed suicide, having been driven to it by the verbal and physical assaults of the gay community she had angered by not remaining male. Makes you stop and think, doesn’t it?
