  1. I’m completely behind the term “irregular”, introduced by the US Democrats and taken up in the UK. Somewhere, there’s a wag laughing his doidy off. The term “irregular” can refer to armed invasion forces acting independently behind enemy lines. They might disrupt utilities, carry out random target assaults, place explosive devices or poisons, organise sympathisers, pursue theft etc. all designed to destabilise the area ready for a full out assault.
