  1. Tolkien is not a franchise. I’ve never read that he opened up a chain of LoTRs fanfic centres. What this is about is out-doing Peter Jackson, who also didn’t create a franchise. Good to know, too, that the Hobb… Harfoots are roving tinkers. I do enjoy the Somerset accents that keep creeping in.
