BlackRock owns Starmer and the entire Labour cabinet.
67
Can’t do that. Blair’s first action on getting into government was to gut the Treason Act.
22
He could have TR’s cosy cell. Comes with neighbours he’s sure to like.
20
Starmer is Macron’s bestie.
18
I remember the Common Market being A Good Thing because it opened up free trade across Europe and promised to revisit problematic fishing rights. Wine lakes, and butter and cheese mountains for all! And here we go again: free trade and fishing rights. Don’t fall for it!
17
And we get to buy popcorn and watch.

The EU began as a Common Market for free trade. Who’d have ever imagined it’d end up being run by unelected bureaucratic bean counters?
12
Want to bet it’ll be Shy Knees coal?
12
My posts routinely go missing. I’ve had two 24 hour bans thanks to snowflakes (one upset by a reference to Arthur C. Clarke’s “The Forgotten Enemy”). Let’s just keep writing. Some posts do slip through…
12
And led by a bloke with common sense and intelligence.
11
Slowly? Hardly!
11
I dunno. Some of them used to spit “Thatcher”.
11
Once we elect Reform it’s going to be a long, hard slog dealing with the problems Starmer is now deliberately creating, but it’ll be worth it. After all, we have Trump’s sterling lead to follow.
10
@GapingGash you’re right - they sailed in!
9
Sheeple - I live in a council area where the voters dutifully baa for Labour then bleat about the huge Council Tax rises, no housing for local Brits, and potholes.
7
The runners are pretty evenly matched: France, Germany, Holland, and the UK. Bets?
7
Or its own members…
7
And most of the population hasn’t even be asked if they’d like to capitulate. Labour are WEF collaborators.
7
I disagree with lifting the Child Benefit cap; there are too many extended families where a man has one legal wife and multiple common-law partners (aka single mothers). He’s already raking in the cash for so many times two children, so why encourage him to beget more offspring!
7
Ah, but the EU could be hoping to use the UK as a tariff workaround - ship stuff to us for free, then we ship it out at 10% tariff. Bargain for the bean-counters, that. Shy Nerr has been doing it for years, undermining WTO rules.
6
@ that's why I noted that Blair "gutted" it.
6
The local sheeple where I live will baa for Labour no matter what.
5
He has a wicked sense of humour. That’s as important as common sense!
5
Eldest son - born 1997 - is a Maggie fan. He says we need someone like her, be that a man or woman, who has a backbone and actual leadership qualities.
5
Look, I hate to point this out, but Labour promised to destroy England back in the late 1960s, subsequently extending their intention all Britain within a year or two.
5
@divvu1014 nope, but have you seen how high the new ones are?
5
@BritishFreedom funny thing - not every civil servant votes Labour…
5
I’m not certain yet, but I’m pretty sure that Liebour has located hemp, plaited it, bought a horse, and is now looking for a suitable tree.
4
More’s “Utopia” is a satire on English society in the late 15th early 16th centuries, my dear. I recommend reading an annotated translation (it was written in Latin). Basically, though, it suggests a Commy-use-ist ideal e.g. people own nothing, there is no money, and almost everyone is required to perform work in order to maintain the status quo. You’re welcome.
4
Where? Timbuktu?
4
@johnsteed9083 trying to convince the enemy that it's too weak to stand up to the glorious invader is a standard warfare technique. You do know this?
4
@KyeGnosis yeah, ‘bout that. The SNP wanted an independent Scotland with borders open to all comers. Wouldn’t that have been fun?
4
Yes. The most recent irregulars dispersal scheme is quite sinister. However, I’m intrigued by the possibility that most of our unwanted guests have been trafficked and, if denied all freebies and comforts, will leave the UK. If Trump can make that order, so can Reform’s leadership!
4
Hey, I’m a civil servant working as admin in the Education Sector. I’m on minimum wage and have no input into government decisions!
4
I know someone who will always vote Labour, come heck or highwater.
4
I wonder about that. Seems to me that that’s far too simplistic an explanation.
4
Is it? I’m not so sure. Lots of very obvious and unpopular panic measures since Trump got back in office.
4
@BLAZERSEAMS too true given he's backed the wrong horse again
3
@dwaynepipe7801 and what if a proper vessel gets into trouble in the Channel while you're stopping the volunteers taking the lifeboat(s) out?
3
I think he said that he doesn’t want to be PM. Which is fine: he’s a good candidate for Foreign Secretary.
3
Don’t shake your head - hold up your chin and be ready to seize the future!
3
“British Steel” is owned by someone or someone’s in Shy Nerr. Let that sink in.
3
@daidavies6210 that was a war situation. Although, come to think about it...
3
Exactly how the Democrats claimed the Republicans - especially Trump himself - was a threat to democracy. I wonder why we’re hearing revamped lies… … didn’t Gates and Fink visit Starmer?
2
My ex and my b-i-l would dutifully baa for Labour, only we aren’t getting an election here. Our Labour City Council wants to spread our migrant misery and needs time to formulate how to ruin the County.
2
I think we know the answer.
2
At this time, Farage must distance himself and Reform from TR. Our Beloved Keir is already planning on putting TR away for good (but daren’t actually do anything too naughty in case the people object). If he manages that, he could get cocky and, with the EU behind him, not only ban Reform but gaol the party’s elected officials followed by punitive measures against party members. I am hoping for a gentlemen’s agreement with Mr. Lowe, in due course.
2
No idea - no intention.
2
Perhaps Elon might send them a few tips.
