  1. Removing the two child benefit cap is a huge mistake, I’m afraid. There are too many men who have one legal wife according to UK law plus multiple “common-law” wives from whom they glean income. Then there are single mothers who will see an extra financial opportunity to stay on benefits long-term by having more children allegedly without knowing who the father is. If Reform wish to reintroduce child benefit for every child, there must be a set of strict control measures! I say this as a Reform member.
