  3. As a first aider, I last month recommended a work colleague go to a walk-in centre for a check up (sudden leg pain, collapse resulting in brief period of unconsciousness). She rang her doctor’s surgery and was told local walk-ins were rammed, ditto A&E, so come in tomorrow morning for 8am and wait to see the locum. Luckily, no problems. My colleague’s high blood pressure medication was changed and she’s currently being monitored weekly. Now, if that had been a thrombosis…
