@stoned_kakapo8736 you won’t see the majority of the homeless, only the worst off, many of whom do indeed have mental health/educational needs issues and would have, not too long ago, received supported accommodation or hospitalisation. PS: chucking the mentally ill and the ESNs out into the world without backup wasn’t humanitarian but cruel af. I guess a lot of politicians have never bothered to find out the devastating consequences of their vote.

I observe that the media and politicians are focusing on families - would you throw children out into the snow? - but I’ll bet the majority of your incomers are single and, almost exclusively, men (probably young men). That’s deliberate misdirection from the core of the problem and the exact tactic European governments took. To some extent, the problem has resolved itself over here, because the current influx is, again, mostly young men; women, especially those with children, have said they’re safer in a war zone…
