  1. As a child, I couldn’t relate to a cake made from brownies. Such wanton cruelty. Besides, during the cold winter months, brownies camp in warm houses in the form of spiders, soooooo….. yeah. Probably the most famous brownie is the Cauld Lad of Hylton whose reported song I was taught at school back in the 1960s.
