@ryanstephen120 Arabs started appropriating the title Palestinians in 1966.

The Arab armies planned an attack on May 29th, Israeli inteligence find out and let them know, so their attack was postponed. None the less you were correct because of casus belli i.e. acts of war perpetrated by Arabs: The most important was a blockade of the Straits of Tiran leading into Eilat, Israel's only port to the Red Sea, through which Israel received much of its oil. After several border incidents between Israel and Egypt's allies Syria and Jordan, Egypt expelled UNEF peacekeepers from the Sinai Peninsula,* established a military presence* at Sharm el-Sheikh, and announced a blockade of the straits, prompting Israel to cite its casus belli in opening hostilities against Egypt. Note that the Arab leaders were very vocal about their intentions to eradicate Israel. Your Arab friends exemplify difference between Arab and western culture. In other words a robber stands in front of you with loaded gun stating his intention to kill you but you are the one who is blamed for starting the battle because you have defended yourself by being faster shooter.

@kathymckimm1819 ‘67borders are not even borders, these are armistice line per 1949 cease fire agreement, where the Arab signer (Transjordan) insisted on a clause saying these are by no way borders.
15
@drjacob2276 You are projecting Arab imperialist thinking on Israelis.
14
Combined with clinging to reminiscences of imperialistic conquests made by the colonizing Islamic invading forces.
12
@gomer6477 If you know of any christ's killer then go to the nearest police station and report. (Either Jew or Roman..).

No sand dunes in the Golan Heights.

@nowisthetime12 "Oh, right, for every Israeli killed Israel kills 200 Palestinians." Lucky them, had the president of Israel acted in Arab presidents style then this whole conflict would have been eliminated decades ago. In reality the number of casualties in the Palestinian Arab vs. Israel conflict is not even in the top 100 (despite the fact it is going for so many years and the overwhelming power of Israel.)

@wendygratien4135 The first delivery landed in the evening of the 13th day of fighting, when the tables already turned. However, the fact air lift delivery began, did allow taking higher risks and bolder maneuvers knowing weapon stocks will not get depleted.
7
The majority of Israelis are descendants of refugees that fled to Israel from Arab countries.

Arabs creativity and imagination in the comment section vs. battle field and the reality of Arab countries life...

@e.j.hoopty8951 US aid to Israel is 4B$, 100% of it is spent on US made products, that budget is managed by the DOD. Israel's own military budget is 18B$ All together ~22B$.
3
@PengusKhan There is no state in world with more legal base than Israel.
3
True, however Israel has no interest in taking responsibility for feeding 105 million hungry Egyptians, or 20 million hungry Syrians (In todays numbers).
3
A deterrent to USSR forces.
3
Fighting an external made up demon is much more solid path for all failed Arab regimes.
3
@matthewboyd4066 In the 60's and 70's USSR did not send troops to aid Egypt and Syria, but it did send air pilots (who fought in the war of attrition), technical experts and officers. The USSR also financed and trained terror groups (in the middle east and all over the globe).
3
Limited by USSR made radar systems and missiles.
3
@floki1664 The US had weapons embargo on Israel until the mid 1960's. Then first the US sold Israel defensive weapons - Hawk anti air missiles. The first offensive weapons' deal came through after the six days war with F4 Phantom air fighter jets supply in 1969.
3
Limited by last generation USSR made ground to air missiles and radars.
3
@joelsullivan3614 "Well the Israelis are of Russian and Eastern European stock which are pretty good tank people." Actually, the majority of Israelis are descendants of refugees who fled to Israel from Arab countries.
3
*gave Sinai away!
3
Israel's government budget 150 Billion US$ USA's aid to Israel 4 Billion US$
2
??? British made centurion tanks with Israeli upgrades.
2
@1014Z-y4k USA's first air lift supplies landed in Israel in the evening of October 14th. By the 10th the battles were already pushed into Syrian territories.
2
>1000 captured T54/55 tanks were improved and served in the IDF, some were later modified to serve as APC's.
2
@thornekontos1560 Year 2020 Israel's military budget ~18 Billion US$ USA's "aid" budget ~ 4 Billion US$ Total ~22 Billion US$
2
?? T62's were introduced in 1961.
2
@giladtselniker8420 100% of the budget of the aid is used for purchase of US made weapons. It used to be 75% years ago then changed to 90% then to 100% in Obama's time.
2
@Speaker868 The US will not stop aid because it serves US economical, military and geopolitical interests very well. FYI - Israel's own military budget is $18 billion. PS Check USA's budget spending on protecting Germany Japan and South Korea NTM oil rich Arab countries.
2
@Charlesputnam-bn9zy The "1967 borders" are cease fire lines that are defined on maps appended to the 1949 ceasefire agreements between Israel and Transjordan (Rhodes agreements), they hold a clause that says these lines are by no means to be considered borders.

Arabs creativity in the comment section vs. battle field...

British made centurions with Israeli made upgrades.

Israel's government budget 150 Billion US$ USA's aid to Israel 4 Billion US$
2
P Mar The US had weapons embargo on Israel over 1947-1969.
2
It was for 21 years (April 1946 to June 1967).
2
Why would Israel want to assume responsibility for feeding 20 million hostile Syrians? Note the GDP of Israel is 540 B US$ over 10 M people -->54 k US$ per capita. GDP of Syria at its peak in 2010 250B US$ over 23 M people --> 11 k US$ per capita. Combining the two will drop Israel's GDP per capita down significantly (~70%).
2
@apuapustaja1958 What kind of military intelligence was that?
2
Busy in the south front.
2
??? British made centurion tanks with Israeli upgrades.
2
Arab Islamic arrogance and supremacy culture does not allow the existence of an independent minority state.
2
@maddslothii2532 The majority of Israelis are descendants of refugees who fled to Israel from Arab countries. 900,000-1,000,000 Jews fled to Israel from Arab countries, 500,000-700,000 Arabs fled from Israel to Arab countries.
2
Jews are from Jewdea Arabs are invaders from Arabia.
2
In 1973 war he was already dead for 8 years.
2
War is horrible for those engaged in real battle. In military perspective the wins made by the Israeli army on both fronts are impressive. A culture of high achievers with high self criticism is what makes Israel win. High expectations with high sensitivity to life loss distorts the view.
2
Strategically overlooking northern Israel used in the 21 years it was in the hands of the Syrians for shelling Israeli villages.
2
@floki1664 The number of casualties in the Israeli- Palestinian Arab conflict is not even in the top 100 list.
