Comments by "M R" (@emm_arr) on "Could Brexit cause an immigration crisis for tech firms?" video.
What competitive advantages? State aid would effectively mess up trade, and the other main "more attractive" is cutting wages. Are you ready for a wage cut?
6
It's not you who is driving it. It's businesses. Maybe the race to the bottom will stop after Brexit, but I would predict that's unlikely: wages are going to remain low or fall further - there is simply no incentive to pay people more except for certain skilled jobs.

We? Your English is really odd for someone called Phil Dobson. You aren't called Phil Dobson and you certainly aren't a native English speaker. Where are you really from? Somewhere they pay you?
4
Hello! You never coded, have you? Have you ever even been around modern tech teams? It really doesn't sound like you have.
4
That's nice, but it sounds like you've never met techies and devs in a professional capacity ... ... which renders your claims about the people in the video utterly worthless.
3
"James Watson has got a Nobel prize for biology." That sounds like a non sequitur to me.
2
It's 'pi', not PI. Your ignorance just makes you look ignorant. And you are!
2
That's a separate matter, so it's unlikely to get a mention. Where do you think it ought to be mentioned?
2
@colintawn3535 I see. Thank you. I do hope you don't consider that man or that site to be reliable. As I said, look into Frankfurt office rentals. New capacity there exceeds the Guido Fawkes claim by rather a lot.
2
It didn't where I live. Are you prone to generalisations?
1
"I will vote for her at the next election" Nice try. I don't think you will because I don't think you are even British.
1
@AutoAlligator You should brushed up on your the English and I would never have noticing. Hope you get paid well.
1
Another pretend Brit! Wow. Lots of you in tonight. Are you playing here with others or just with yourself?
1
"The vast majority of successful startups are using Asian development teams as they do a days work" What's your source for that claim?
1
Wow. Mental use of emoticons and mental English! Good post, Mrk.
1
@petegiant Right. Once again, where do you think it ought to be mentioned?
1
@petegiant Your point isn't good enough, and this is not "pure speculation" at all. It's curious, isn't it? You can't even say where you want that copyright stuff to be mentioned. It's not hard to say, so it looks like you didn't really think that one through.
1
@petegiant Your point isn't good enough, and this is not "pure speculation" at all.

Albert Pike Great shitpost, Al. As I said, YOU never say a word against Russia. You scared of Poots in Boots?
1
Albert Pike conducts himself just like one of those asymmetrical warfare operatives, posting manure into a topic constantly. He was so bothered by me pointing that out to him, he now routinely claims others are not British. Personally, I think he's on military service or needs the wonga. He can't believe everything he posts, so what's his game?
1
That comment makes sod all sense. Try again if you must. It sounds like you've never met techies and devs in a professional capacity, which renders your claims about the people in the video utterly worthless. You've coded in Ruby for pleasure - not pay - so you feel entitled to pontificate. Sure.
1
The number is pi, not PI. What's this other guff you are on about in a daft attempt to change the subject from your silly pontifications? Very silly pontifications, indeed!
1
Of course I do. You are being unusually and deliberately stupid tonight because I pointed out your silly pontificating. Try being clever instead.
1
Only 2,000 down? Wow. The Frankfurt office space rentals associated with Brexit can accommodate far, far more than a mere 2,000. What's your source of just 2,000 jobs moving? Does that include job losses?
1
@colintawn3535 Come on. That's utterly lame reasoning and awful treatments of facts. "None of their apocalyptic forecasts have come to fruition." No. Here are just three: * devaluation of sterling occurred * job losses to EU Member States occurred * other EU Member States are actively setting up the infrastructure to do what is done in London. If you really cannot see that some of the things we were warned about have come to pass, then Guido Fawkes may well seem like a top geezer who is impartial.
1
As I said, look into Frankfurt office rentals. New capacity there exceeds the Guido Fawkes claim by rather a lot. What harm could that do?
1
@colintawn3535 "I am not concerned with job losses on the European mainland." I wasn't talking about job losses there. I'm trying to get you to see whether Guido Fawkes has sold you a shaggy dog story, but you are trying to avoid that.
1
@colintawn3535 "You cannot deny that London is still the premier financial centre." Wrong statement. There is little reason to think London will be unaffected. Look into what France, Germany, the Netherlands and Ireland have done ... they set themselves up as alternative places for doing what is currently done in London. "You cannot deny" Boring stuff. Stop spinning. Fawkes is suspect. His claims are suspect. You offer flimflam and that's no good.
