  1. There are several ideas that I believe can require more discussion: 1. Japanese companies do not want to hire women with kids(10:40): Is it because they believe that these women cannot put in the necessary hours? I know Japanese working culture is demanding and requires employees to work extra hours, go to nomikai, and discourage using vacation time. Kids are not compatible with these harsh hours. There are gonna be times when the child needs additional attention from their mother. 2. Japanese women are not very understanding or good at communicating(14:32): The expert mentioned that women are easily triggered by light joking(14:33) and unintentionally offending them(14:40). I remember in a previous video that there was a father that came home late every day. The reason was that he was trying to avoid coming home. The wife complained that he did not help out, but she got angry when he did try to help for not doing it the "proper way". This video makes gives some credibility to his statements. I know in Japan that harmony is highly valued. If the wife is gonna constantly snap, of course the husband is gonna avoid coming home so that he does not disturb the peace.
