I was stationed in Ceuta back in the late 70s early 80s, I had enlisted in the Spanish Legion, never had this problem back then, they wouldn't have dared, but with today's press & the bleeding hearts brigade, Spain cannot respond as they used to back then, they should all be returned to Morocco !

@VentureHolly Western Sahara was given back to Morocco in 1974, Ceuta & Melilla have no natural resources, they are dependant on Spain, maybe the Moors that invaded Spain & stayed for nearly 400 years should return the resources they plundered ??

@Aizen taicho Ceuta & Melilla was given to Spain as part of the terms of the end of the 1860s war between Morocco & Spain, they are not significant land masses, each enclave is only the size of a large town

@Aizen taicho yes I know Morocco gets many tourists, but much in Morocco now is catered for them, not the same as when I saw it. You are correct, many European countries are dangerous, & until Europe changes its foreign policies & stops interfering in other countries it will remain so, I am lucky enough to live in a fairly isolated area, no neighbours & 90 miles to the nearest City. I am old & retired now, I am happy I will not see what this world becomes in 30 years time

Ceuta & Melilla have been Spanish enclaves since the 1860s, this is not a recent annexing !

@Aizen taicho Believe me, i know about the Polisario, my unit had several encounters with them, they are the so called Sahrawi people, they don't just want part of western Sahara but parts of Algeria, Mauritania & Mali to make into their own state, I have no idea why Spain would allow Ghali medical treatment there, at one point he was on Spain's wanted list, everything is political these days, only governments know the play.

@Aizen taicho yes I know polisario is financed by Algeria, even back in the 1970s, when I was there, Algerian military would shield them & we could not cross into Algeria. Like I said, I have no idea why Spain is now helping polisario leader. I was just a soldier, not of any command, I did only what I was ordered, but yes, Ghali & the polisario were the enemy

@Aizen taicho I personally love Morocco, I have visited many places there, Todra, Draa, Erg Chebbi & the usual places like Rabat & Fes, this was long before they became tourist attractions, the people were friendly & generous, but this is back in late 70s, unfortunately I think most of N.Africa is now not a good place for a European to be, it has become dangerous, I'm happy I saw these Countries & places before that happened

@TuNiSiA-TaMaZiGhT this is nothing about taking land back as well you know, Ceuta & Melilla are recognised as part of the EU, they get into these enclaves & EU rules apply, were Morocco a conflict zone they could claim refugee status, but it's not, hence most get sent back

@shrekwithawillsmithface465 back in the late 70s, early 80s they were not, Morocco was a very corrupt & poor country back then, check history before commenting on something you obviously know very little about, that's why Ceuta & Melilla were Spanish enclaves !!
