  1. Not strictly true, I made a mistake & bought a 200 CD storage player from the US, it arrived then I realised it was 110 volts, if I had changed the plug & plugged it in, it would have gone bang, I had to then buy a 110 transformer to use it, so low wattage appliances do need a transformer, !
