  2. I'm glad we have a secured trunk system in the USA. I was a police chaplain for nine years before the system was implemented. The bad guys would monitor our radio traffic, then create diversions by phoning in false reports that would trick dispatchers into sending us on fake calls. In one situation , an officer and I almost got killed in an accident due to such a call. They can't do that with a trunk system.
