I had a friend who told me something really interesting. He went to therapy and learnt that, for him, aiming to be productive and to achieve goals ruined his mental health. It was much better for him to do things for the process, not the accomplishment. He said for me, productivity and goal setting worked. It made me healthier. That for some people, if works, and for others, it doesn't. I found that really interesting and I agree! To the point where if my job is too chill, it makes me feel worse that I'm not doing enough at my job. Not because of shame, but because I want to do something!
