Comments by "M.A.B." (@m.a.b.4104) on "Israel Floods Gaza Tunnels - US Preps Weekslong Strike Campaign (31JAN2024)" video.
The amount of BS from some people on both sides in these comments is crazy.

@lucasgssilveira that makes sense, especially compared to a lot of other comments here. The argument that it's only being done in the amount and areas that won't cause what you are suggesting is very dubious to me.

@hermes7587 have shown in the past but this current government creates a lot of doubt that they will live up to their predecessor's achievements. Footage of Hostage families barging into a government meeting is evidence that quite a few Israelis also have their doubts. At times Netanyahu often seems to put the release of the hostages in second place over destroying Hamas.

@stevenreyngold1166 😂 where seawater from Tsunamis doesn't drain back out in a short enough time frame, it does cause significant degradation of the land. You ain't fooling me with your BS.

@Nigscoop that just makes too much sense (dripping with sarcasm). It's like some people haven't finished or never got, a basic education.

1:58 surely pumping massive amounts of sea water into the tunnels is going to have some negative impact to the ground water? (isn't there already contamination issues with the ground water before this?) and the Israeli government just saying it won't doesn't inspire confidence. The hostages need to be freed to go home and Hamas needs to be defeated, but even just for Israels own benefit they need to do more to prevent or ease the impacts of this war on the majority of Palestinians to help stop the radicalisation of the next generation. Otherwise surely if Hamas is gotten rid of it will be replaced by something equivalent or worse. Really hoping the latest negotiations are successful and are implemented as soon as for the relief of the most vulnerable on both sides.

@justrandom567 videos of violence and murder against civilians committed by Hamas were streamed all over their telegram channels. Some Hamas leaders even boasted about this at the time, until they decided to twist the truth into blatant lies to present a unified false propaganda narrative for people like you to parrot. By contributing to false narratives you're actually helping to muddy the waters and dilute focus on the genuine stories of Palestinian oppression and suffering.

6:42 Hamas had both a military wing and a government wing(civil servants, agencies etc) for years before this war. Wouldn't it make sense that many of the civil servants self interest was more to have a job (providing for their family and themselves) and contribute to order through governing while limiting choas and anarchy that fills the space when there's no government? Sure, filter out those who are extremist and will continue to be and integrate those who aren't, there's bound to be many. I know the situation isn't exactly the same, but I can't help but be reminded of the disastrous consequences of the complete purge of Baathists in Iraq after the 2003 defeat of the Iraq army and government. 1000's of Iraqi men forced into unemployment and humiliation leading to a major factor in the years of insurgency that followed. Surely there's a better path to follow but with a leader like Netanyahu I wouldn't bet on it.

@YoursUntruly when you say the left, the fact is you're talking about a vocal, ignorant, subsection of the left. Just like there's a hateful, ignorant subsection of the right.
