10:03 agree, good point. Most wars, Ukraine, Syria etc, civilians are at least able to flee to relative safety when the chance arises. Most Gazans have been trapped since the start, with no real opportunity to move somewhere truly safe. The Israeli designated safe zones are inadequate and nowhere near big enough to fit the large numbers of displaced civilians. More pressure should be put on Egypt to allow more Gazans that desperately need adequate health treatment to be let through the southern border, even if only temporarily. There's no shortage of charities, other governments, NGO's etc with resources waiting to help due to not being able to get enough assistance into Gaza. Here in Australia our government gave out 800+ visas(small number but not nothing)to Gazan relatives of Australian citizens (also gave a similar number to Israeli relatives after 10/7), but some have been waiting weeks, now months, for Egypt to add them to the list of Gazans with foreign visas that are aloud to cross over Egypt and Israel's blockade that prevents the vast majority from fleeing the war to find safety and link up with families abroad. Egypt would get all the help it needs (money, equipment, people etc) from the international community to help provide more relief to civilians in Gaza. Obviously I am definitely not talking about taking all or most Gazans and moving them permanently to the Sinai in a move of abhorrent ethnic cleansing. As Preston says, the silence regarding humanitarian relief solutions for the millions of Gazans aside from permanent ceasefire (that seems to not be going to happen anytime soon) is telling. Of course there's not easy solutions, but if alternative solutions are not being discussed, they will never be worked out.
