  1. In the last decade America's life expectancy has gone backwards and infant mortality has gone up for the first time in the last century. There are many indications that western society may have already peaked and the current/future dilemmas of climate change, upheaval from radical technological change etc may accelerate a decline. Either way we will find out sooner rather than later it seems like.
