Spot on Sam, I don't have to agree with you on everything to appreciate the time, effort and intelligence you bring to current issues. Keep it up.👍

16:04 for a bit more context, the American government backed and equipped the Iraq army(who used child soldiers) against Iran throughout the 7 year war, so they also have some blood on their hands. Also lack of education, poverty and oppression have been proven to help the vile extremist fundamental 'religous' leaders increase their power and control over the misled. I doubt Sam is converting any of the fools amongst us in the west who can't seperate Hamas/Hezbollah/Houthis etc from the civilian Palestinians wrongly oppressed by Israeli style apartheid, and is more likely just preaching to the choir.

@EzraB123 I have seen reporting on IDF tally's of total casualty numbers in Gaza from recent decades. And they have always been close to Hamas health ministry and seperate UN numbers.

Am definitely not an expert on the issue of antisemitism, but my understanding is that the far right's is based on non white racism and beliefs in various conspiracies and the far left's is based on Israel's treatment of Palestinians. Kanye doesn't seem to fall into either, except maybe beliefs in conspiracies.

@jmc5335 don't believe calling out Israel for it's treatment of Palestinians is antisemitic, but the far left is accused of this. Also believe it is wrong equating far right antisemitic bigotry/hatred to the lefts criticisms of Israel. Too often today the need for unbiased reporting leads to equating unequal points of view, the far rights antisemitism is far worse than the far lefts (which I said above that I don't believe it is antisemitism and your valid point in that it is not even far left and is liberalism calling out apartheid)Sam contributes to this confusion by not distinguishing this major difference in his statements at the start of this podcast. Antisemitism is bigotry and an extreme symptom of ignorance, calling out a country for human rights abuses is neither. The Israeli/Palestinian conflict is a complicated issue but to attempt to shut down critics of one side by calling them antisemitic does not further the debate and often has ulterior motives(eg the UK's Jeremy Corbyn and members of his own party trying to tarnish him for their own political agenda)

@Mitch Jacobwhat's your argument, that what he says is irrelevant or unintelligent. Or that you don't agree with his opinions? Or you're frustrated with the oxygen his opinions get? Don't want to say you sound jealous in your comment, please explain your disagreement. Not saying he's a genius and did say I don't agree with everything he says. Couldn't listen to his episode with Douglas Murray, found him too repulsive. Point me in the direction of better places to find relevant discourse if I don't already know them.

@Mitch Jacob was responding to the angry tone you mentioned, sounds like have more in common after reading your replies, enjoy a lot of Lex Fridman's podcasts. Will check out Schmachtenberger. Thanks for clarification. Don't necessarily think I am a Harris follower, just that I have sometimes learnt new info/clarified existing knowledge from Harris or his guests and find he can be good at explaining complicated issues sometimes. Also know I am not highly intelligent but like to think I am not below average. Always looking to broaden my knowledge.

@themeangene obviously didn't listen to his whole clip, not what he said. Not what happened. Private company twitter took down New York post, 1st amendment doesn't protect against private companies moderating. Your showing lack of intelligence.

His delivery being a condescending asshole who thinks he's smarter and more important than he is.
