Within the first 10 min I realised this guy's knowledge will be fascinating, no wonder this episode is almost 4 hrs long.

Sold. Am now a permanent fan of both these guys, wish I had discovered ages ago.

@patriotsforisrael3610 democratic country for how long? The world is not blind to the push towards authoritarianism by the current Israeli government.

3:18:00 Really enjoyed Lex's video on 1984 and looked forward to his next book video on Douglas Adams's The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy. Hopefully Lex comes back to it but only if the fun isn't taken out of it by the over critical.

Great podcast, really enjoyed the conversation between these two smart, interesting minds. Sponsors: I try to always have a barrier from the world of advertising (of course not always with success) but your support of Lex is well worth it because am willing to remove that barrier to help Lex continue with this endeavour because in self interest I really enjoy it and for the advancement of humanity being grounded/driven in love and kindness/Good prevailing over Evil.

Don't have to agree with everything Oliver Stone says to be able to listen and learn from someone who has spent so much of their life trying to inform everyday people.

1:06 - Can't talk about about this war without including it since 2014. Wasn't that kicked off by Russian green men and Russian stirring up/supporting/arming of sympathetic locals?

Twitter is the benzo of social media. Often brings out the worst of people.

If Ukraine had 110,000 on the Donbas border, how could Putin not be aware and think invasion would go like Crimera? Glad to see Lex pushing harder questions, stone may be speculating at times but his knowledge would give important understanding. His view of western media bias on Ukraine coverage makes sense, first time hearing it since start of war in rational explanation. You would hope if there were Ukraine war crimes as widespread and extreme as the Russian horrors of Bucha and downing of MH17, by there would be some, if small, coverage of strong evidence. Push harder Lex on Stone explaining difference or similarities between his March 3rd Facebook post and what he says now.

@consciousliving8647 eloquently put. 👍

Great interview, really enjoyed it.

Great choice of cover Lex. Pink Floyd are a favourite of mine since brothers introduced them to me when I was 8.

Great work Lex, keep it up and don't let the detractors push you one way or another. Your continued effort to try to remain unbiased and not fall under the spell of polarisation that seems to plague us more and more is to be commended. I feel that you often provide medicine to the disease of information illiteracy that is the cause or at least a contributing factor of so many of today's problems. Your reading list is great for this and I am looking forward to next week's Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy and the whole year's worth of books. Hopefully I will finally get the motivation to read as much as I used to, as I used to get so much out of it. 👏👍 Love your work.

Lex this proves your not a robot, your embarrassment at silly human mistake of recording button 😄

People still debate the now. They can see the same thing but interpret it differently.

Feel like Lex is trying but Stone has started avoiding his hard questions, Lex has eloquently explained in previous podcasts his understanding people he knows fear and apathy in Russia, Stone replies his fear of social media censorship. Not the same at all. I guess Stone is known for conspiracy. Probably is elements of truth, in fact there is but is it overly exaggerated? America was behind chemical weapons in Syria? Come on.

@rennyskiathitis8178 we'll see. Democracies require checks on power to healthy and I hope in the near future we don't see the dilution/removal of the supreme Court as the only one.

33:25 - as he says the economics of fully supporting Ukraine with troops etc is not there but is not the threat of nuclear war a bigger factor?
