That's what opiates are for and work really well most of the time, short term pain relief for serious injuries or relief for the terminally ill such as cancer patients. Research has shown 90% of people prescribed opiates for the short term won't develop addiction and for the 10% that do doctors who know there job will move them onto treatment program such as methadone or Suboxone. America's opioid crisis mainly happened because of a greedy pharmaceutical company fooled doctors into believing there was a synthetic opiate that was non addictive - Oxycodone. Turned out it was just as addictive and they must've known they were bullshiting the whole time. Wasn't a coincidence that the copyright they had for the market leading painkiller ms contin(slow release morphine pills) was due to expire and they would lose profit to generic versions. So they falsely created a new market leading drug in OxyContin - the supposedly non addictive painkiller. Also was a lie in that it did not do as good a job as ms contin. Greed of the rich and powerful leading to death and suffering for many.

@dude-kz9yr yeah, doesn't say what strength and how many fentanyl patches in a 'small box', but more than likely was enough to mix up a killer shot. Such a fine line with fentanyl patches from my experience, mix up too little and don't get a good high, mix up a little too much and good night with a toss of the coin on whether you ever wake up.

@tbonepumper5623 it would've if they had mixed up too much of the fentanyl in one hit.

@Jedimaster420 seen it done too many times, just need tiny bit of acid(vinegar or citric acid pills)with patch heated in water. Nothing genius about it.
