@nerag7459 Menachem Begin was in charge of the Likud when that phrase was part of their platform, Netanyahu entered politics later into the same party. The phrase is said to date back to before WW2 when Zeev Jabotinsky (said to be the father of the right leaning Revisionist Zionism) used it in a Zionist Anthem song. History really does repeat sometimes.

10:18 Great Point. Too many people have little idea about what they are parroting. Information illiteracy seems to be an ever expanding problem. The origins of the phrase "The River To The Sea" can be traced back to the right wing of the early Zionists, and then much later flipped and co opted by Hamas. You can claim the meaning is something else, doesn't remove the fact that for many decades it has meant the devestation of one side or the other to a lot of people, even if many have meant it peacefully. With the necessary information at our fingertips, ignorance is evidence of tribalism taking over.
