I wish people would stop claiming every discovery from the 20th century lead directly to the phone etc. Its just a lie. Hilbert gets waaaay too much credit for essentially being little more than a cult leader who destroyed mathematics and replaced it with linguistics.

@eggynack err, Hilbert's Hotel is Hilbert's. The fact Cantor first "established" cardinality has nothing whatsoever to do with my comment in the slightest conceivably reasonable way. You can take your barely-double-neuron smart alec comment and examine it in a mirror, doesn't apply elsewhere.

@eggynack and the context of the video plus the fact that Hilbert's cronies have claimed most of the path from Cantor to mobile phones ... tells me you're just trying to find some way where if you squint you were justified in taking the perspective on my comment you did.
