Bells theorem did not split which was real or right from one another. It ruled out local hidden variables. The side of the false dichotomy most fled to at the time, didn't end up solving any of quantum mechanics' reality/epistemology problems. It annoys me when people say "quantum mechanics is the most accurate theory we have" when none of the theory itself has been tested. Hilbert space is ONE OPTION of how to integrate the equations. There are plenty of other ways which obviously being solutions give the same numeric results. The superimposed wavefunctions are directly from fourier who used them to solve heat equations, but nobody said "because I can read this out of the maths as long as I also have a story why my story can't be challenged, I can say these are particles and that's that" for good reasons. That attitude came about not as the only way to _explain things_, but the only way to _save platonism_. Since then the whole thing has scientifically crashed into a brick wall, essentially fiddling with the deck chairs on the titanic.
