I would love to know if Caspian Report genuinely just has a total blind spot around Ukraine, or if he's been bought. I'm hoping it's the first, but we'll see.

@mitch C yes, but some more than others. What made Caspian different before, was he presented the two sides of conflict based on what the two sides said and then looking at the relevant history and land/economy factors etc. For this whole Ukraine thing, he's just totally taken the western line 100% hook, line, and sinker ... apparently having no idea whatsoever about what the Russians say, their history in this, what they see as the situation etc. etc. Caspian has gone from trying to be fair to being absolutely blatantly totally and completely fully biased, simply parrotting narratives of one side. It's very sad. I don't know if the emotions knocked out his reason, he's under threat, or he was only ever impartial as long as it got better views and it was always just about money ... I don't see many other options but I'd like to see him address his failures after the war.

@Suzumebachi you know how in war there are at least two sides fighting? Yeah. That. Its obvious to people who have enough neurons to be worth responding to. This reply is the benefit of the doubt reply. If you come back parroting propaganda because you're just desperate to hold onto your free "feel good" dopamine hit by trolling people like me who actually do understand the sides to this... then this reply will serve as the reply to all your future drivel.

@Heads Full Of Eyeballs it's not garbage. Those who blindly drink propaganda and have no real knowledge of history think it's garbage. Those who don't even know or care what Russia actually said and prefer to listen to the US/UK led gaslighting, obviously also "know". I'm sure you think you're all innocent heros and Russia is a big bad bear and Putin has imperialist ambitious blah blah blah. One day Ukranian people will look back at Ukrainian government, who chose to sacrifice the country and the people to serve Ukranian oligarchs and US interests, and put the blame where it belongs. When you realise you were duped, there was never any need to fight at all, and Russia has been scapegoated for a long time but the US are the underlying cause of problems and tensions .... you're going to kick yourself for inviting the fox into the hen house.

@Farzana 🇺🇸 no, I'm not upset and that's not true. I'm pointing out he holds the western view rather than explaining both sides and where he stands in relation to them. The point is he doesn't seem to have done any critical analysis, he's just picked the western version of events. Since both sides employ propaganda, he's just picked one side of the propaganda war, instead of doing analysis.

@Farzana 🇺🇸 Those are not facts, those are claims. He looked at one or two small pieces of the puzzle, one of the very few where the equation is in Ukraine's favour. Ukraine is not winning this war, nit in terms of lives lost, money spent, ground held, nothing. I think Zelensky was played into making his country a meat-grinder sacrifice to try and prop up US hegemony and hold back Russia from backing China in the US plans. The idea Russia is struggling in this war is just out of touch with reality, the "gains" in Kharkiv were just setting up the funnel for the meat grinder around Bakhmut. Maskirovka in action. Never forget this would've been settled without a single shot fired if not for the US intervention (Zelensky immediately wanted to talk but was shut down by the US), and then would've ended much earlier with much less lost territory if Boris Johnson hadn't flown to Turkey to stop Zelensky signing that peace deal. All with promises of support that fall short. This tragedy is fuelled by people on social media continuing to perpetate the ridiculous idea Ukraine will win with more weapons. The more weapons they have, the more people they will lose.

@MarvinT that's what people said about hypersonic missiles, then when they show them it's too late. Compare that with the US F-35 "yeah, it'll totally work really well, we're really just about to make and ship loads of them ... uh ... The US government has spent an entire generation gaslighting US people about what Russia is like and how it works. Gaslighting includes projecting your own failure on the other as you try to flip the script and twist things around so you're the hero and they're the villain. The rest of the world sees the US being a dangerous infantile merciless brainless selfish violent beast, and this is a very well deserved assessment. Do you think that's just everyone being jealous of how great you are? America has been the best place to live because it used the petrodollar and its military to bully literally the whole world into submission. Not because of any kind of special skill, certainly not for the vapid fake morality the brainwashed think US has, but because the population was easily bought. As the hegemony wanes, and Americans have to suddenly join a more level playing field, we'll see how well they survive. Given the number of debt dollars bearing "In God We Trust", and yet the US has never trusted God, only ever used him for political gains ... the debt based inflation bomb the US made for itself is not just the largest in history, it has been accompanied by an extraordinary loss of morality and abuse of religion as a tool. It will be sad watching the US rip itself apart, but better than watching what we've seen ever since 2001.
