I think the experiment of dividing the city into two parts, controlled by Democrats and Republicans, should be very interesting. It will certainly be similar to the division of Germany into a western capitalist part (FRG) and an eastern communist part (GDR) or the division of Korea into a communist north (DPRK) and a capitalist south (Republic of Korea).
