  4.  @danwake4431  Coolant does not lose freeze protection. Someone added more water to the system, which raised the freezing point and caused more corrosion. Coolant can lose some corrosion inhibitors over time. This is replenished with top ups. Coolant changes really are not needed if you keep the system topped up with a proper mixture.

  5.  @danwake4431  You need to run proper coolant in all climates. It prevents boil over as well and has corrosion inhibitors. It does go below freezing in Florida. The entire state is north of the tropics. Snow, ice, and below freezing temperatures are common in the state.
