  1. It’s actually a pretty strong engine. The 5 speed transmission, while bulletproof, holds the engine back a bit. I’d like to see Toyota keep this engine with a 10 speed automatic and spin on oil filter.

  2. The previous owner and your wife drive way too easy. You need to exercise the car some to get the carbon out. You need to run it at full throttle occasionally for 15 seconds.
