  1. I’m not sure why people are worried about the hybrid battery. There is a long warranty. Most people that buy new cars trade them in after 5-7 years. Hybrids generally have much lower repair costs even with one or two battery replacements in the 25 years lifespan of the car. If you are a conservative driver the brakes will never wear out. The AC compressor is electric and will last much longer. The water pump is electric. There is no alternator or belt. The ICE in a hybrid will last much longer since it is not being pushed as hard. I expect all vehicles that Toyota sells will be hybrids and plug in hybrids by 2030.
