@mplslawnguy3389 That’s not true for a correctly designed turbo engine. Turbo engines have lower compression and stronger internals.

The V6 twin turbo has loads of low end torque is under less stress than the old 5.7 V8. These new downsized engines will last longer. Ford and GM V8s don’t last very long while Toyota I4s run forever. GM’s 2.7t is better than their V8s and is the engine to get in the Silverado.

Doubt it. The V6 turbo is every bit as durable. V8s will be gone soon, even in HD trucks.

The driver has control over start stop by how far the brake pedal is depressed. Shutting off the engine does not affect the turbos. They are cooled whether the engine is running or not. Nothing to worry about.

@naveenthemachine Start Stop extends the life of the engine. Idling is the worst thing you can do to an engine. The starter motor is heavy duty.
