A real mansion hidden behind the wood s with a long driveway, would not be visible. on a hilltop, it wouldn't be as high as the trees ie not very noticeable and only 2 or 3 stories high.

  12. peter, having grown up on small farm in a west coast state, i will say that rural areas with established families, have usually been like this, where we get to know each other and trade for things among each other. there's a lot of community. People help each other out to a degree. It is a common thing in rural areas of the usa, at least some of this. Resident long term landowners on acreages are different from city people who don't even have a yard, don't grow anything, don't have nature, move around, don't know each other, etc.

  19. Excuse me, but 40 ft is a 4 story building. it will look just like that one inthe video. It should say, can't build anything over 3 stories and 3000 sq feet, and in historical style, on top; but have to build bigger ones on the side of the mtn. All they'd have to do is go down 40 feet from the top and build.

They have a LOT more natural resources than most americans , it was all in the treaties, they got some good deals compared to the rest of us. Land, and resources, and obligations by the Feds , to give them housing and benefits etc.

  27. you can get free college money if you are low income. lookup federal Pell grants. for the low cost community colleges. Don't ever have to pay em back. you can get Trades education, or else other things like a degree, etc. also, they give extra for living expenses.  @eewweeppkk  i've also seen colleges allowing people to camp or sleep in thier car on campus....

Stop trying to use your experience and your people as some kind of example for them. it isn't going to work. Jews are the highest IQ people in the world, and used to city life, that isn't true of appalachians. You are too far from this culture to know a dam thing that they need. They have a good Mountain culture. They don' t necessarily need some extreme OTHER thing that is totally alien. Have NO support person in any city, etc. Also they are Christians and thier church family is up there in the hills.
