💥 Museveni did not want to lose his sovereignty. And did not trust khaddaffi's interferences , since Khaddaffi wanted to become the leader of the Union. He also tried to undermine Museveni by t he tribal leaders. Why would that leader trust Libya to lead them? they had natural distrust . Khaddaffi had courted this young leader since child hood but when he grew up he realized it was a sort of political grooming. he didn't want to be Khaddaffi's boy. And maybe he also didn't want such a huge presence of islam.
